<p>Seeing quick results on the other hand can have a wonderful effect on your weight loss results. When you see its working it becomes much easier to motivate yourself. Most people do the wrong thing when they want to lose weight. They stop eating. They think that eating less will help them lose weight but nothing could be further from the truth. When you stop eating and deprive your body from food your metabolism actually slows down severely. The result is that you burn less calories. Your body also goes into starvation mode – making it store more fat. You need to do the opposite and start eating 3 to 5 smaller meals. The caveat however is that you have to eat healthy food. By eating smaller portions but eating more regularly you can boost your metabolism and prevent those dreadful snacks that make you fat.</p>
<p>2. Cleanses and detoxes<br />
I&#8217;m not a big fan of detoxes as a weight loss strategy but it does have a place in losing weight quickly. It can be a great way to start because purging your body from toxins can leave you feeling lighter and more energetic. With a good detox you can get rid of the toxins that have built up in your system and often times this can actually inhibit your weight loss efforts. Poor digestion is a problem and its almost always the result of a poor diet. With a detox you can have a fresh start and you can turn over a new leaf. </p>
<p>3. Strength training<br />
We all know that exercise is a great way to burn calories. In fact, it is by far the most effective way to lose weight – even more so than dieting. Exercise is a challenge for most people simply because they&#8217;ve been inactive for so long. The aim of exercise is to boost your metabolism and allow your body to burn more calories. Cardiovascular training is great for that BUT what most people do not know is that strength training can be equally important. When you build muscle you actually increase your body&#8217;s demand for calories. The result is that you will burn more calories – even when you are not exercising. It will also increase your cardiovascular capacity and allow you to exercise more with less pain.</p>
<p>4. Protein Powder<br />
We&#8217;ve all see body builders swear by it but the value of protein powder is more than just building muscle. It actually contains amino acids that help to burn fat. It also helps to build muscle which helps to burn more calories. You need to adhere strictly to the dosage and see it more as a meal replacement than a “milkshake” after your meal.</p>
<p>5. Intensive Training<br />
If there is one of the tips to lose weight fast that I would encourage you to take up then its this one. Once you reach a point where you are fit and strong enough you need to up the intensity of your training. If you can include 3 very intense sessions a week where you really push yourself you will see the weight just fall off. If you can combine a 45 minute plus cardio session and include strength training with that you will lose weight faster than any other method.</p>
<p>6. Breakfast<br />
Its been said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it really is. Skipping it has a knock on effect. Apart from slowing down your metabolism it will leave you hungry – which leads to snacking on high calories foods. When you do get food you will overeat. By eating a breakfast that is high in fiber you will feel satisfied for longer and have heaps of energy – without hunger cravings. I recommend a bowl of oatmeal with a light drizzle of honey.</p>
<p>7. Dump the red meat<br />
Red meat has a very poor calorie to protein ratio and its high in fat. If you eat red meat 3 to 4 times a week then you will always struggle to keep your weight in check. If you want to lose weight fast then I suggest you put the red meat aside for the next few weeks. Try turkey instead. Its got the fewest calories/ounce of all meats. Even better, opt for beans and legumes as it is very low in calories and very high in protein. You will feel very satisfied and not but on weight.</p>
<p>These are just a few easy tips to lose weight fast. Try and combine as many of them as possible over the next 3 to 4 weeks and you WILL see results! There are no magic formulas but when you combine some of the ideas it can really help you lose weight quickly.<br />

Invest in a weight loss program or buy yourself some running shoes or clean out your fridge. Do something, anything!<br />

What got me into it was just seeing my vegetarian friends and noticing a common trend – none of them were FAT. I challenge you to find an overweight vegetarian.</p>
<p>So, why is a vegetarian weight loss diet so effective? The first and most obvious reason is the sheer amount of calories you cut out of your diet. Meat also has an immense amount of hidden fat and the high calorie ratio of meat makes it one of the biggest reasons why heavy meat eaters have weight issues.</p>
<p>A big problem for meat eaters is the fact that they tend to be very bad eaters in general. They tend to load up on meat and never get the stuff they really need – which is vegetables. Meat places a heavy burden on your digestive system and digesting a piece of animal protein can be a very long and cumbersome task. Hence the poor digestion and lack of energy.</p>

<p>So, what can a weight conscious person do instead of being a sucker for those weight loss diets that do not work?  There are still a few things that one can do, but this involves more than just a diet change.  It involves being more conscious of all facets of one’s life and implementing positive change in all these aspects.  These changes should not be seen as one huge chunk of homework that one should implement right away; this will only make it impossible to accomplish.  In each step, small changes can be realized, and you’ll be surprise that one small change done after another will eventually pile up to a meaningful, substantial effort that will spell a different in terms of weight goals.</p>
<p>For example, you do not have to sign for a gym membership good for one whole year.  Try signing up for a month or two and see how it unfolds.  Not only will you realize if the gym method works for you or not, you will also get to avoid hassles such as losing money to nonrefundable membership fees in case you find out that you don’t really like going to the gym.  Start a 30 minute walk around the neighborhood instead of a full hour run every day.  With this method, you can also get to challenge yourself more as there are more limits that can be pushed, and you will also find yourself getting more confident (as you get to easily achieve goals), adapting a more focused and positive attitude.</p>
<p>With regard to food options, weight loss diets do not actually mean having to eat only a certain kind of food all the time or depriving yourself of delicious culinary delights.  What’s recommended is getting yourself prefer food that is rich in fiber, organic and natural.  With this mindset, you’ll find yourself eating healthier food and shedding pounds easily.  Unfortunately, red meats and food loaded with preservatives like fast food fare is not only unhealthy, they also do not do any favors for your digestion and, ultimately your weight.  As mentioned earlier, you do not need to shun bad food all at once unless you have other health concerns that need to be addressed ASAP.  Introduce fruits and vegetables more and more while lessening intake of meat and other foods that encourage weight gain.<br />

<p>The three most popular classifications of rapid weight loss diets include using supplements and pills for dieting, starvation, and VLC or very low calorie diets.  The three are quite self-explanatory.  Pills and supplements have been manufactured to function as appetite suppressors, metabolic rate enhancers, fat burners, and nutrient absorption blockers.  There is some truth to the claims of some supplements, especially ones that contain L-carnitine and other natural ingredients.  What is dangerous is that there are some pills that are synthetic and also contain dangerous substances.  Meanwhile, as the name implies, starvation diets lets one subsist in very little nutrition, most commonly through soups or a drink mix.</p>
<p>This type of diet is perhaps the oldest, with a history ranging back to the 1950s.  This diet can cause sickness as the person does not meet the daily recommended allowance (RDA) of vitamins and minerals he or she needs to function properly. VLC diets, meanwhile take place in controlled environments commonly known as “fat farms” where a person is supervised by a nutritionist as he or she can only eat a portion of his or her RDA, including number calories.  VLC diets are effective, but often they are considered to be very difficult to attain, plus the treatment programs are known to be priced on the high end.</p>
<p>As products intended for weight loss are not under the regulation of the FDA, companies that market these products any way they want, even with no scientific backing or testimonies that their products indeed work.  Among all the methods stated above, only the VLC method has been scientifically proven to work.  However, as mentioned earlier, money is a factor for this method.  Moreover, it may not be as fast as the other proclaimed rapid weight loss diets as the patient would need to be enrolled in a fat farm program for months, at least.</p>
<p>Although the results can definitely be seen in the patient after weeks, the aim of VLC diets would be to promote healthy eating habits, thus it is a whole program that can be finished after a considerable amount of time.  Moreover, the patient is treated in a facility, away from family and friends for the entire time he or she is in the fat farm.  As for other FDA-approved medicines like fat blockers, they could only work when coupled with proper diet and exercise.<br />
